Tarpley Named Deputy Assessor of the Year

Bradley County Chief Deputy Assessor of Property Arnold Tarpley was awarded the 2011 Chief Deputy Assessor of the Year Award before the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers.

The award was presented on behalf of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers by the 2011 President Frances Hunley.

"The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers proudly recognizes Arnold Tarpley for exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism, service and leadership representing Bradley County and name him as Chief Deputy of the Year 2011,” said Hunley.

Also on hand for the award ceremony was Will Denami, of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers, who said, "Arnold has a long successful track record in the field of property assessments and is known for his wealth of knowledge, it is fitting that he is being recognized for his achievements.”

"I am very thankful to be chosen to receive this award. I have spent many years in this field which I enjoy so much and everyday brings new opportunities to learn. I am proud to be a member of the team and for me it is an honor to work for the people of Bradley County,” said Tarpley.

Tarpley began his career in mass appraisal in 1980 at the Bradley County Assessors office. He then worked for the state of Tennessee Division of Property Assessments from 1987-2002. Arnold rejoined the Bradley County Assessor’s office as chief deputy in 2002 where he continues to serve.
