About L.E.A.F. Academy
LEAF Academy was founded in 1997 and was designed to aid "at risk" children. The Academy focuses on combating the problems of status and delinquent offenses.
The Academy specifically addresses the needs of middle and high school aged young adults who are involved in the juvenile court system.
The Academy will host anywhere form 40-50 cadets in each 6-week session.

Academy Curriculum
Over the 6 week course of our program, we enroll the students in a simple 3 part curriculum of events.

Academic Skill Enhancement: Emphasis on math and reading skills with certified teachers.

Fitness and Teamwork: Emphasis on physical fitness by use of the obstacle course and physical fitness conditioning.

Person Disccpline:Emphasis on goal setting, self-esteem, enhancement, conflict resolution, peer mediation, anger management, substance abuse, violence prevention and law/justice.

Information
The young adults in this program....
-
are between the ages 12 and 16
-
have an active file in juvenile, family, or campus court
-
will take a pre and post test in reading and math
-
earn a summer school credit (for middle school cadets)
-
must understand that Attendance is Mandatory
-
will have a graduation ceremony upon completing the 6 week program
